South Highlands Kitchen Remodel

Native to Shreveport, this young couple and their two daughters have lived out of state for school and work for several years and have finally moved home! They bought a house in Shreveport’s historic South Highlands Neighborhood knowing their home would need some updating---That’s where we come in.

Energetic, excited, eager….and in LOVE with Chip and Jojo! We set out to make this South Highlands home look like something right out of Waco and right off of HGTV’s “Fixer Uppers!”

Subway tile, shiplap and brick pavers, OH MY! We ripped out walls, patched up doors, polished up old, and installed new. Together with the homeowners we rearranged a few things for a more practical flow and topped things off with a few local touches!

Hard work and great homeowners made this project successful! I think Chip and Jojo would be proud! We LOVE the way it turned out!

White Kitchen Wednesday

Dingy cabinets, hideous hardware, outdated appliances, scratched countertops, floors that seem to get more and more annoying every day!? (Ok, so when I reread this sentence I realized how girly it sounded, but hey, it’s true! For most of us, once we’ve decided we need a change we need it NOW! Out with the old and in with the new!)

If you’re considering a remodel in the future, I can almost bet that you’ve been sifting through pages and pages of pictures on Pinterest, Houzz.com and all sorts of home magazines trying to find what style is most appealing to you!

During your perusing you may have noticed a trend among the Hottest Kitchens of 2015: WHITE, WHITE, WHITE!

White kitchens are bright and cheery! Clean and refreshing! Want to know the best thing about this white kitchen “trend?” It’s not really a “trend “at all! White kitchens have been a thing for years! They’re classic and timeless and one of our favorite things to design! Here are a few pictures of white kitchens we’ve done recently!

Personalized Kitchen!

The elements that make up this freshly remodeled University Terrace kitchen were purchased from here there and everywhere! After installation the floor tile, counter tops, cabinets, backsplash, appliances and hardware has all come together beautifully! Here's the lineup: Walker Zanger backsplash, Quartz Han Stone in Ivory wave with a demi bull edge, 12 X 24 Downtown Night from the Cityview collection from Daltile, Delta's Cassidy Faucet, a Kohler sink in Ice Gray, Custom Cabinets from Shiloh, and cabinet hardware from Hardware Resources all pulled together with Benjamin Moore's Clay Beige! The homeowners were able to shop many different showrooms to find exactly what they were looking for to make up their brand new kitchen!

Coffee Bar

This 2014 kitchen remodel included the cutest Coffee Bar---complete with a Miele Espresso maker, Grohe Blue Chill water filter, dishwasher, and fridge drawers!
