Bathroom Remodel

BEFORE...

AFTER...

THE ROOM NOW ACCOMMODATES TWO GROWING GIRLS EACH WITH THEIR OWN SPACE.

BENCH SEAT IN FRONT OF THE WINDOW.

THE TOILET WAS MOVED TO THE OLD SHOWER LOCATION FOR ADDED PRIVACY.

BY MOVING THE TOILET WE WERE ABLE TO ADD A SECOND SINK.

THE FABRIC ON THE WINDOW TREATMENT TIES THE WHOLE SPACE TOGETHER!

SO CUTE!

WE MIXED DIFFERENT SIZE SUBWAY TILES AND SPLIT THEM UP WITH THE SAME BLACK SUBWAY TILE FROM THE FLOOR.

THE BLACK SUBWAY TILE CREATES A RUG PATTERN AND HELPS BREAK UP THE PINWHEEL DESIGN ON THE FLOOR.

LOVE THE BLACK AND WHITE PINWHEEL TILE WITH THE BLACK GROUT AND BAND OF BLACK SUBWAY TILE.

Bye Bye 90's Master Bedroom

Hey, just got pictures back from a recently remodeled master bedroom suite in south Shreveport, LA.  I love the new look.  The house was built in the early 90's and screamed it!  We got rid of the gold faux finish walls and wallpaper boarder.  Another simple change was to bring the bedroom wall up to the ceiling height, this eliminated the open cathedral ceiling and allows for more privacy with the adjoining space and a more finished look.

Thanks,

Work in Progress

Just a few pictures of a kitchen we are working on in the Springlake area of Shreveport.  Love that the homeowner was brave enough to mix materials!    It's messy in these shots, but hey, that means work is getting done.  Can't wait for the finished product.  Not long now!

Getting A Vintage Look

This was a really fun project to work on and I can't wait to show ya'll pictures of the completed outdoor screen porch and grilling area in North Shreveport, LA.  So here is a sneak peak at the custom screen door we installed.  The homeowner wanted a person touch that added some feminine detail to an otherwise masculine space.  Here is the result!

Super cute knob the homeowner found at a yard sale for the back side!

Finished product!  Bold Rosemary Green by Benjamin Moore with a tobacco glaze.

We customized the stock pattern by adding solid wood panels at the bottom that so the dogs wouldn't damage screens.

Painting your kitchen island

Black has been a standard color for kitchen islands for some time now.  A kitchen that has a fairly minimal design and white perimeter cabinets look great with the pop of color it brings. Black also hides scuff marks from shoes hitting the bar side!  But lets face it; black can also be harsh and unforgiving.

The trend today is to still go towards the dark side but in softer hues of browns, grays, blues, and greens. So you have that look of  nearly black in the right light.  Colors in this palette will soften the look of the kitchen, rounding out the entire feel of the room.

Here's just a couple of options we looked at while recently picking colors for an island in a Shreveport, LA kitchen remodel.
